The second vintage from our estate vineyard, the 2000
Merlot is rich and supple with silky ripe tannins.
The wine is fruit driven with dark berry flavors
dominating such as blackberry and cassis. Sumptuous
and dense yet at the same time tender and harmonious
with layers of floral freshness. Our consulting
enologist, Paul Pontallier from Chateau Margaux,
has estimated the flavor development of 2000 First
Label Merlot will last ten years and beyond.
Due to the limited availability of our library wines, we cannot extend our usual quantity discounts to this wine.
